Well, here I am. Brittany Hall. New York University. New York City. Yesterday (move-in day) went well; no major glitches and somehow the chaos seemed organized. After several trips to K-Mart and Bed Bath and Beyond, I can safely say I am fully moved into my room and feel very comfortable. My building is great, and I especially love my room. The view is SPECTACULAR and my room is huge. We have a lot of closet space (actually more than we know what to do with), some of which we share with our suitemates. It's sort of one room divided into two and separated by a small hallway and a bathroom...? That doesn't make sense. It's really not even that hard to figure out. Haha. I've put up all my pictures and notes and trinkets and ticket stubs, plus the giant panorama of Minneapolis, so I feel a bit more at home. I think I'm going to be pretty happy with my living situation this year.
Roommates: I like them. Mallory from Pittsburgh is extremely sarcastic, straightforward and honest, which I think will be a good thing. Alinane from Malawi, Africa is very kind and fun. I think it's a pretty good situation. Mallory is in Tisch for drama and Alinane is studying photography in Tisch.
I have a stomachache, and a floor meeting in 15 minutes. I probably should put on some real clothes. I'll probably post again later!
